RSJ star Greivin Pacheco scored the first of his three goals on the night inside of three minutes then newly signed Chris Akwaja added another a few minutes later. Everything seemed to be going right for RSJ until late in the first half. AFSJ striker Jonathan Chavez made the most of his chances first scoring a penalty and second from close range following a defensive lapse sending a frustrated RSJ into halftime.
Later, Pacheco and Chavez traded goals but it was the RSJ striker’s third goal that sealed the match for his team. With less than ten minutes remaining Caio Ribeiro cut back a cross from the end line for Pacheco to crash in.
The victory allows RSJ to reclaim the perpetual trophy that is held by the winner until it is put up for grabs the next year. RSJ holds a 3-1 advantage having won twice before losing last year.
