(Updated: Mar 2, 08:26 PM) Real San Jose opens the 2020 season a home match vs Pajaro Valley United. Kickoff is set for 7:00pm. PVU offers a tough test for RSJ that will feature an almost complete roster make over from their tough 2019. The Watsonville club has reached the national quarter finals in spring 2019 and State final in fall 2019.
"We are definitely looking forward to this match. The guys are excited to start the season against the best team from 2019," said RSJ manager Nick Arellano.
RSJ fans have a quartet of potential stars to watch this Saturday evening. Miguel Leon, Sergio Cermeno, and Noe Zamarripa offer the best RSJ midfield in years. Forward Patricio Nolasco offers the scoring touch RSJ desperately missed last season. Nolasco and Cermeno scored in RSJ's 2-1 preseason win over the Oakland Stompers last Saturday.
RSJ starts their 13th year in 2020 season and continues to be oldest bay area soccer club to play in a national league.
