Real San Jose defeats JASA in exciting 4-3 match
Real San Jose defeated JASA from Redwood City by the score of 4 to 3 in an exciting UPSL regular-season match at PAL Stadium on May 16. The match seemed like it was going to be a blowout as Real San Jose was up 3-0 after 23 minutes. In the second minute, RSJ midfielder Angel Heredia played a perfect ball to the chest of Jonathan Garcia who smashed the ball into the back of the net. (continue...)

RSJ Opens 2018 with a Win!
Real San Jose opened the 2018 UPSL Wild West Conference with a 3-1 victory over Dynamos FC at PAL Stadium on March 31. RSJ, which finished the 2017 Fall season as a UPSL National Semi-finalist got out to a 3-0 lead thanks to a 9th-minute goal from Jason Romero and two more from Angel Heredia. Real San Jose scored three times in the first fifteen minutes, with stood a IFX late first half push and then dominated the second half to earn a 5-1 victory and tie for the final UPSL Northwest playoff spot on June 6 at PAL Stadium. RSJ is now in a tie for the fourth and final playoff spot with Magic Valley FC from Idaho and four points behind Western Nevada with two less game played. Real San Jose is on a win streak. RSJ defeated Western Nevada FC 2-0 as Angel Heredia and Lorenzo Vasquez each scored in front of a solid defensive unit that held the visitors scoreless. The win is the third in a row and puts RSJ with a solid place in the race of a UPSL playoff spot.

It was worth the wait. After two rainouts to start the 2017 Real San Jose finally got their UPSL home schedule started on April 29 with a thrilling 5-4 victory against Oakland’s CD Pamperos. The biggest star of the night was Lorenzo Vasquez who scored four goals, the third of which is a goal to be remembered. (continue…) />

Better but still a loss, RSJ goes down fighting in 2-0 loss to Stompers.
Another loss for Real San Jose on June 11, this time to East Bay Stompers by the score of 0-2. RSJ was in the match all the way until the end when the Stompers were awarded a penalty and subsequently scored.

Real San Jose was never in the match against OSA FC from Seattle. Seattle scored within two minutes and added three more before halftime. The score would get to five before Fernando Lares scored a fantastic goal to make the final 5-1. It was Lares’ fourth goal in three matches since the eighteen-year-old joined RSJ. (continue…) />

An 86th-minute penalty kick kept Real San Jose from taking three points out of a Mother’s Day trip to Hayward as East Bay FC Stompers forced a 2-2 draw. This match was just another frustration for RSJ, who are looking to get into the thick of the playoff race.
