Real San Jose opened the second season of the 2021-22 NSL Pacific with a tough 3-2 victory over San Pablo FC at De Anza High School in Richmond. Patrik Sofalvi scored twice in the first 6 minutes, Hector Herrera added a third early in the second half. Then things got interesting and a short handed RSJ held on to get away with the win. RSJ scores seven in home victory!
The Real San Jose coaching staff waited the entire season to see Francisco Avila play and in the fifth game of the season, they got their chance. And what did Avila do? He scored three goals in RSJ's 7-0 victory over American Canyon at PAL Stadium on November 6. Hector Herrera also had a massive game, scoring twice and assisting three times. Real San Jose advanced to the quarter-finals of the NSL Pacific Cup by defeating American Canyon Rising by the score of 2-1 on October 16, 2021 at PAL Stadium in San Jose. RSJ defeat San Pablo FC in season opener!
Real San Jose opened the 2021-22 NSL Pacific Conference season with a well-deserved 2-1 victory over 2021 Regular Season Champion San Pablo FC at PAL Stadium. Hector Herrera was the offense star by assisting on the RSJ tying goal, scored by Patrik Sofalvi, and then scoring the game-winner erasing one-goal halftime deficient. Defensively, RSJ was led by newcomers goalkeeper Vadim Butenko and defender Juan Velazquez. (continue...)

RSJ earns playoff spot with two big wins!
(July 4, 2021)Real San Jose has qualified for the 2021 National Soccer League Pacific Conference playoffs and will face top-seeded San Pablo FC this Sunday evening at MLK Park in Richmond. The kickoff is 7:00 PM. To get there, RSJ faced a pair of must-win situations. The first was June 27 at American Canyon, and the second was July 3 at NorCal Rush. The key to these victories was the awakening of the RSJ attack, which came up with ten goals over the two crucial road matches. (continue...)

Real San Jose comes away from San Leandro with a hard-fought shutout victory to keep their playoff hopes alive!
A 44th-minute goal from Jonathan Navarro backed by the best defensive effort of the season allowed Real San Jose to stay in the playoff hunt with a 1-0 victory. Injury time goal stops win and shutout streak
Real San Jose was on the verge of making it a second fall season victory and third straight shutout on October 7 at PAL Stadium. Then came the 93rd minute. A short corner by San Leandro United was perfectly placed as was the resulting header that hit the back of the RSJ net. It was a frustrating end to a match that was clearly a tale of two halves. Real San Jose earned a dramatic 1-0 victory over the Oakland Stompers on April 29 at Oakland's Raimondi Park.
