Real San Jose Soccer Club

The 2026 season has come to an end, and there is no way to describe it other than disappointing.

After twenty seasons, Real San Jose experienced the most difficult year in club history. The results on the field fell well below the standards we have set for ourselves, and as a club we must honestly acknowledge that.

Professional standards require commitment, preparation, accountability, and consistency. This season showed us that we fell short in those areas.

The responsibility for rebuilding begins now.

Over the coming months, the club will evaluate every aspect of its operation as we prepare for the 2027 NPSL season. Our goal is not simply to improve our record, but to rebuild a culture that reflects the values Real San Jose was founded on nearly twenty years ago.

As part of that process, the club will not participate in the 2027 U.S. Open Cup qualifying competition. We believe our resources are better invested in strengthening our roster, improving our organization, and building a team capable of competing at the level our supporters expect.

Open tryouts for the 2027 season will be announced in early 2027. Every roster position will be earned.

To our supporters, sponsors, volunteers, players, and everyone who has stood behind Real San Jose over the past twenty seasons, thank you. Difficult seasons do not define a club. How a club responds to them does.

The work begins today.

Real San Jose fell 1-0 to JASA on November 23, 2019, at Red Morton Park in Redwood City, thus ending the UPSL Fall Season in last place in the West West Red Division. The only goal of the match came off a corner kick in the 75th minute.

Noe Olivo and Miles Monroe all had strong performances in the RSJ defense. Cesar Prado and goalkeeper Julian Escobar each made their RSJ debuts. Omololu Ajao made a brief debut going out injured in the opening minutes. Unfortunately, a strong defensive performance was all RSJ could provide once again as the offensive was shutout again.

Real San Jose failed to provide the big performance that was required to stay alive in the Wild West playoff race and fell 4-0 to San Leandro United on November 16 at PAL Stadium. It was a disappointing loss, to say the least. RSJ struggled all season to mount a consistent attack and it was even worse than normal on this night. On the other end, San Leandro put their chances away and moved into playoff position.

Real San Jose had an important road result insight but ultimately fell 2-0 to Pajaro Vally on November 10. RSJ was short-handed as a few key players were unavailable. Defensive star Alex Kaster missed his first minutes of the season with an injury and missing Juan Torres and Eddie Guerro forced other lineup adjustments. Still, RSJ stayed in the match until the final five minutes when both PVU goals were scored. Cesar Burrell, Danny Corrall, Miles Monroe, and goalkeeper Jonathan Arellano all had outstanding performances.
