Reicko Moreno

Real San Jose Soccer ClubHi my name is Reicko Moreno and I was born in Bronx, NY but raised in San Jose, CA. I’ve been playing soccer since the day I moved to California when I was 9 and at that time, I joined a San Jose team called AC Milan under the Winchester Soccer League. We have won 4 out of 7 championships while in that league. When I was 15 through 16, my team had been training with the U-16 Chivas USA academy to learn fundamentals of soccer and improve individually. I played for FC Barcelona when I was 17 (2008), Westmont High School, West Valley Strikers and was one of the selected few to represent WSL in the Copa Coca Cola when I was 18 (2009) From 2010 to 2012, I played for FC Benfica in Sunnyvale and also trained with Coach Gaspar at West Valley College. I took a break for 2 years then practiced with De Anza College from 2014 to 2015. Then in 2016, I joined South City San Francisco AC.

I worked with Ernesto Gonzalez, the owner of the Winchester Soccer League based out of San Jose and Campbell. When I came to San Jose from New York, he was the man who brought me to the game of soccer at the age of 9. And to this day, he has been my mentor/trainer for soccer. I worked with him because I wanted to make a difference in the community of San Jose and Campbell, trying to keep youths out of the street and have them join an extracurricular activity that both parents and kids could enjoy, the same way Mr. Gonzalez has helped me. I consider San Jose my hometown and San Jose has been real good to me, I just want to pay it back by representing Real San Jose as well as improving as a player and hopefully, bring home a trophy.
