RSJ is now in a tie for the fourth and final playoff spot with Magic Valley FC from Idaho and four points behind Western Nevada with two less game played.   • Real San Jose Jose Avalos It wasn’t pretty but Real San Jose manged to get a 2-0 victory over IFX Ballistic at Patelco Sports Center on a chilly night on May 24. Jose Avalos scored twice it what was a rather chippy contest. RSJ has now won four of their last five games. (continue...)

  • Real San Jose May 6Real San Jose is on a win streak. RSJ defeated Western Nevada FC 2-0 as Angel Heredia and Lorenzo Vasquez each scored in front of a solid defensive unit that held the visitors scoreless. The win is the third in a row and puts RSJ with a solid place in the race of a UPSL playoff spot.

After two rainouts to start the 2017 Real San Jose finally got their UPSL home schedule started on April 29 with a thrilling 5-4 victory against Oakland’s CD Pamperos.   • Real San Jose joins UPSLAfter ten seasons in the National Premier Soccer League, Real San Jose has made the switch to join the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL). Discussions began in November on 2016 and a month later the move went public.


  • Real San Jose - Marcus Markus KothnerMarkus Kothner, a native of Germany who played professionally in Europe and El Salvador, will be Real San Jose’s new head coach Saturday night when the team hosts East Bay FC Stompers. Current assistant coach Frank Quintero will stay on in the same capacity.


  • Real San Jose receives Commendation from Count of Santa ClaraSanta Clara County Board of Supervisors gave a Commendation to commemorate Real San Jose beginning its 10th season. District 2 Supervisor Cindy Chavez the presentation was at the Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting on March 22 9:00 in the Board of Supervisors’ Chambers.   • Bay Area needs rain, and that is exactly what it received this last weekend. A lot of rain fell. LOTS. So much that the flooded soccer pitch at Oakland’s Raimondi Park caused Real San Jose to drive back home without opening the NPSL season against West Region champions CD Aguiluchos. A crowd of over 2000, many dressed in Albion jerseys, showed up supporting their home team. A skydiver even delivered the game ball to the center circle. (continue...)
