The Alexander Arellano Award is presented annually to the Real San Jose player who most exemplifies the ideals of being the ultimate teammate, making the most positive impact throughout the year. The award honors the memory of Alex Arellano, the beloved second son of Real San Jose founder and manager Nick Arellano.

Yasid Alvarado expressed his gratitude upon receiving the accolade, saying:
"Thank you, first of all! The award means a lot to me because you practically recognize someone with the characteristics of that great person who was Alexander, a great person and an important person to Real San Jose. And it's nice to keep remembering and honoring him. Thanks a lot.

For me, it is an honor to receive the award, and it fills me with joy because one does not realize many people around you see the little good things that you have and not the bad. This award motivates me to continue growing as a good person since I have to give a good example." Real San Jose owner Nick Arellano praised Alvarado's contributions, stating:
"Yasid is a great teammate to everyone in the club and represents us very well both when he is with the team and in public. Alex would have loved being around Yasid."

Teammates have also spoken highly of Alvarado's impact on the team. Striker and NSL Pacific 2023 Golden Boot winner Lluis Dolade shared his thoughts:
"From the very first day, Yasid welcomed me into the team with open arms. His selflessness and commitment to the team's success have never wavered, and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to share the pitch with him." Midfielder Hayago Galdino echoed these sentiments, adding:
